Bed UltiMat

The Ultimat with EdgeSense is an ultra-thin watertight strip that is positioned on the bed under the sheet. The Ultimat senses pressure within various zones and reports the location of the patient to the BedCall Monitor. When a patient positions themselves to the edge of the bed, this status is reported to the Nurse Call System as an early warning that allows staff to respond long before that patient leaves the bed. The Ultimat is held in place with two elastic bands with metal clips that connect to the bed frame or mattress. By securing the Ultimat in the safe area of the bed, false alarms are eliminated. The Ulitmat is watertight and can be cleaned with standard hospital germicidal solutions.
